Boker Plus Dog Tag Knife. Je draagt hem als een herkenningsplaatje, maar het is een backup mes. Het gewicht is slechts 24g, dus je gaat er niet krom van lopen. Met zijn dikte van iets meer dan 4mm (dichtgevouwen) zal hij ook niet echt opvallen onder een T-shirt. Het lemmet is van 440C staal, het frame is van titanium. Het lemmet blijft in dichtgevouwen toestand op zijn plaats middels een magneetje. Maaarrr, dit kleine mesje beschikt wel degelijk over een vergrendelingsmechanisme dat voorkomt dat het mes dichtklapt terwijl je er mee werkt.

John Kubasek has taken the “Backup Knife” topic one step further and presents the 24 gram light-weight Dog Tag Knife. Like its namesake, it is carried around the neck on a ball chain and boasts a thickness of less than 4 mm when retracted (measured without blade pivot point).
The chisel grind (single-sided blade grind) provides maximum carrying and operating safety by contacting the titanium liner as closely as possible with the flat backside of the edge.
A clever magnetic mechanism also secures the blade in the retracted and deployed state; in each case, the action is strictly accomplished with magnetic force, but with a true locking mechanism instead. As a result, accidental deployment is eliminated even when engaged in active/dynamic activities.
The back side of the titanium liner is ideally suited for laser engraving of the name, nickname, medical data, etc. Shipped with ball chain and carabiner.
